Job Announcement and Description

As a key member of our facilities team, you'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our buildings as well as performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Cleaning and Janitorial Duties:

• Clean floors, walls, bathrooms and all other surfaces using various cleaning products and equipment
• Empty trash and recyclables, restock supplies, and maintain supply rooms
• Disinfect commonly used items, such as door handles and office tools
• All other cleaning duties as assigned

Maintenance Tasks:

• Perform minor repairs on machinery, equipment, and ability to use tools
• Replace air filters and maintain HVAC systems
• Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment
• Snow removal
• All other maintenance tasks as assigned

Additional Duties:

• Maintain outdoor grounds, cut grass, and trim bushes
• Remove debris and snow from sidewalks
• Notify supervisor of unsafe conditions

Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions:

• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting
• May be required to work weekends, evenings, or adjusted hours

Qualifications, Education and Experience: Graduation from high school or GED certification with a minimum of one (1) year experience working in the maintenance/janitorial field is preferred.

Knowledge, skills and ability: Must be willing to work on-call, weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime as required. Must have no convictions of any crime by any state or federal government punishable by imprisonment in a federal or state penitentiary. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test if requested.
